Ciao Barena Venezia
Daily casual with a practical twist and the highest standards of quality and workmanship of the finest materials – that’s what the Italian label Barena Venezia has stood for since 1961. Classic parts with long life, worked so that everything is machine washable and can be produced entirely in Italy.
Founder Sandro Zara has always been inspired by the durable yet elegant workwear that has defined the Veneto countryside for decades.
The company is family run and so Sandro’s daughter Francesca designs the women’s collection, which for over ten years has completed the label formerly specialized in casual menswear.
Baro comes from Italian and translates as salt-water lagoon – which has become the credo and core of the brand. The love of the lagoon makes the creative team experiment with unusual material processes, such as organic cotton wool boiled and washed in salt lake water. The small, Venetian luxury brand can now be found in major global department stores like Barney’s New York and Mr. Porter – and now also at Schwittenberg:
