Jane Kønig

Jane Kønig is a seasoned vet when it comes to jewellery design. The trained fashion designer has been running her own jewellery brand in Copenhagen since 1986 and her collections have even graced the Danish National Museum. Instead of resting on these eminent laurels, Jane prefers to trawl the globe for exotic objects that inspire her. Which is probably part of the reason why she still manages to surprise us after almost three decades: In her work, Jane translates antique stones and nostalgic corals into modern, Scandinavian designs. Most of all, however, she has an eye for commonalities where others only see the differences. Kønig enhances everyday objects like pendants with diamonds or precious bone and horn.
